The Marine Science Centre – Anglesey Sea Zoo
This marine science centre is a unique aquarium, research and education facility. It is the largest aquarium in Wales, hosting over 150 species, and the only one in the UK dedicated to just native species. They showcase the best of British marine life and allow us to tap in to their expertise and knowledge of our fascinating marine environment. Their marine biologists all share a great passion for their work and help us to explore and understand more about our marine habitats.
Their team of scientists work with education groups of all ages. A core part of their work are the conservation programmes which they run, including the lobster hatchery and the British seahorse breeding. Their experience of marine environments across the world is also considerable and varied.
The sea zoo, with it’s own waterfront and shoreline access, is easily reached by powerboat or coach.
